Onboarding is not simple enough as compared to other competitors like teams. Chat is also not that real time.
Connecting with my peers across different geos.
BlueJeans Events has a great interface for moderators. It is straightforward when you know where to look. I also like that BlueJeans is always available, and will get you the answer you need most of the time. I like the ease of accessing scheduled events through the online website. It is very easy to use to look at upcoming events, manage registrations, and schedule new events. I'd say that this platform is pretty well developed, too. Though it does take time to get to know all the features of the Events Platform and it can be very overwhelming for new users, the platform would not be what it is without these awesome tools. I appreciate that BlueJeans is constantly updating their platform to make it better using the feedback of users. It is easy to report problems and get help, which is a major plus. When we report problems, we know that BlueJeans is taking them into consideration and monitoring similar issues.
BlueJeans Events is just different. Users are used to other platforms, which creates a learning curve for BlueJeans. Some features are not as intuitive as they should be - chat panel, video layout, connecting to audio via phone. It is hard for users to understand the difference between BlueJeans and other platforms they have used. One feature that has been asked about is showing more than 9 videos on the screen at once and being able to scroll through all videos. Additionally, BlueJeans Events does not integrate well with Outlook. Another pitfall of BlueJeans is the nearly-indistinguishable line between Meetings and Events. It is hard to know when to use which platform. It seems nonsensical to have two different platforms for very very similar needs. The few different features between Meetings and Events seem that they would be helpful on the other platform, too. This causes our users to question why there are two platforms and when to use which platform.
Currently, we are working to make BlueJeans Events a standard for our company. We have hit a few roadblocks, with users dialing in by phone and internet connectivity issues. We like the ease of scheduling on the BlueJeans web browser, but it does present a struggle when integrating with Outlook. Overall, there have been a lot of small technical glitches that make it hard to rely on BlueJeans for all of our needs. Though BlueJeans support has been there along the way, the amount of problems that have stemmed makes it hard for our users to completely trust the platform. We are hoping that this platform will help us to achieve an end-all platform for meetings and events that, when our users get to completely understand, will be seamless and very helpful going forward. In our use, it seems to be moving this way, but quite slowly.
I like BlueJeans meetings best, and BlueJeans events a little less.
The slide delay for attendees is about 10 seconds, which is extremely long. Can't share an application, only a screen. Chat is difficult to manage, with a separate conversations in a separate tab. Can have multiple presenters for a single slide deck.
Webinars for researchers every couple of months.
Provides basic functionality to connect the team, video, chat etc.
Lacking with Advanced features available in other tools, if have less features than it must be atleast light weight.
Connecting with Customer to have a customer connect.
The feature of BlueJeans that I like the most is its ease of use, both for the host and for the participants. It is easy to schedule meetings and it is easy for new participants to connect to meetings. Logging in is fast, and connecting to meetings is fast. Also, it is easy to share join details.
The significant weaknesses of BlueJeans are the inability to change time of one meeting in a series of meetings, in ability to see your scheduled meetings beyond three months, inability to use virtual backgrounds, inability to display an image when your video is turned off, and the limit of seeing a maximum of only 9 participants in gallery view. These weaknesses have prompted us to use other virtual meeting platforms.
All of my work-related meetings are virtual, and about 50% of these meetings are via BlueJeans, but these virtual meetings are not BlueJeans Events.
The simplicity of the interface makes it quite easy to manage and train end-users in its various features.
We run in to issues every so often with the MS Outlook plug in disabling itself and users complain about the buttons disappearing from Outlook.
We have multiple company events each year that require all office locations to connect to a Blue Jeans event. The software has met our needs for these types of events.
The look and feel of BlueJeans Events is amazing. It's intuitive, and that's something our customers definitely need. It's quick to launch and not cumbersome. I love that the audio and video are combined. Previously, we had a separate phone number for our WebEx audio. It's very nice that people can now use their computer audio to listen to the presentation. I also like that the audio can be muted for all attendees, but wish we could unmute them as well (see below).
We have several moderators on our team and it's frustrating that, if one person creates an event, no one else can access the reports, recordings, or see a list of future courses. It would also be helpful if we could unmute attendees if they have questions. Yes, they can type questions into the Q&A section, but it's easier to unmute everyone and let them clarify what they're asking verbally.
We have several Instructor-Led Trainings every week to help our customers use our software. Our customers sometimes have limited technical knowledge, and BlueJeans' great UI has helped mitigate a lot of issues we used to see with WebEx, such as people not being able to log in, or having issues with the audio.
Its extremely simple to work with and has is quick to load.
The UI seems outdated and can be improved!
I use it to attend online video conferencing events. This helps in joining events that I can not physically attend especially in the post-COVID environment.
I use blue events for our meeting purpose to connect with my teammates for the project discussion, and sounds excellent and effective. Visuals are proper to communicate with other mates. I like music after all meetings.
Clickable option I wouldn't say I like when it needs to send to the colleagues when meeting or chatting is not on going. Links would be great to share with all teammates.
We are using it for our office discussion as well as with our technical client discussion. We use it daily purpose where fresher level to experience level engineer can use it witohut any technical knowledge
Easy integration with calendar. Simplified link sharing. Good interface
Connectivity issues, sync issues, lags during meetings
Multitasking is simpler. Holding events is effortless. Best of all, internal meetings are very easy to organize
The ease of access is my favorite feature, we use this to hold major events within the company.
It can be a bit difficult to use to start off with but once you get the hang of it, it isn't too bad.
It helps maintain order within meetings, the structure is very important.
BlueJeans Events makes it easy to get events going quickly and easily. The software is pretty simple to use and understand. The presentation is made clear and the audience gets a chance to control it a bit too for added flexibility.
For me, BlueJeans Events lacks some of the basic livestream capabilities. I prefer a tool like StreamYard because I can add titles, intros, videos, and so much more with ease.
It has helped us to stream more events and be able to share ideas with a much broader audience. I think our customers have enjoyed being able to see what's going on without being there.
It provides with an Increased Conference size and also is a cost saving and efficient tool
The one thing I faced is that the software becomes glitchy when trying to connect via external platforms. Also, when the software update comes, it delays the meeting time.
conference attendee size is huge wrt other playforms
The Video quality of the event, even while transtioning from one video to another it was absolutely smooth
Everything worked well and there was no video isssues / buffering for the entire event.
Because of Pandemic and people working remotely it is difficult to bring the same mind people for the physical event, hence participation from the global audience is also a limitation and BlueJeans virtual event is really helpful to address these challenges
I'm writing this as an individual, not a company representative. We use BlueJeans events for our company meetings and it's a very effective way to get lots of people on at the same time. It's also very simple to use and the sound and visuals are great. I also like the music before and after the events.
It would be nice to be able to get the attention of the speaker while you are attending the meeting.
I attend company meetings and it helps to bring people together.
Many virtual event solutions are available, but BlueJeans has raised the bar with care and a robust infrastructure. The performance is more significant; it allows an incredible audience and a large number of speakers. Features are many, from music on hold between lectures to high-quality streaming.
The only thing I don't like is the individual room cost per year for Microsoft Teams integration. Still, the prices are compatible with its competitors, and the quality is much higher.
We get better connections at significant events, with many audiences and a lot of speakers. The control and organization of the event also improved significantly.
Cost-effective prices that has made it easy to upgrade and bring the benefits of video meetings across offices BlueJeans has made communication easy and simple since it supports reliable multi-party events livestreaming Has ability to adapt to changing network conditions supporting multiple meetings sequentially
Had difficulties using it for the first time on my laptop but I alternatively used the mobile version
Removed barriers between video conferencing systems, platforms and devices Easy adoption allowing employees from remote offices to meet face to face through video enabled device Managers and employees connect for meetings without requiring room reservation
BlueJeans makes tele-events super easy. You do not need to be a tech wiz to use this platform. I highly recommend it for your next remote event. Beats its other competitors.
Again I think Blue Jeans as a platform is not as well known. This issue is not a BlueJeans software problem - it's more of a marketing issue. This platform should be more common.
I'm an actor, and BlueJeans Virtual Events makes auditioning from home more accessible than ever! I highly recommend for any who works in entertainment as this platform is highly user-friendly.
HD video with Q&A, rich moderator controls and polling. Multi-way idea exchanges, audio and content sharing amd live streaming capabilities
Not very popular among many businesses. Some have never used it and takes time to explain how it works. Wish they could try it out themselves and see its capabilities
Scalable way for our remote teams to communicate more efficiently and expanded our current video infrastructure. BlueJeans Virtual Events quicjly became the invaluable means for conferencing
It is so simple to use, you just connect to an Internet browser and go even if you have never used video conferencing before as long as you have a Web camera
You may experience some technical issues when the internet connection is poor, therefore it is recommended to have a great internet connection at all times
The executive team is able to travel anywhere around the world and be able to do a video conference. As we hoped for from the start, certainly cost savings and also benefited from additional collaboration
