LiquidPlanner is a predictable time tracker. It is probably good at being simple and is very easy to start using and for contractors that come and go from projects.

The app hasn't really been updated much and the mobile app was really weak. It does just work in most web browsers though with no additional plugins needed.

We use LiquidPlanner to roll up project work and report on grants and contracts.

Ability for software to shift dates around and predict completion dates

Liquid Planner is only as good as the data that you input.

We are able to report to management and be more accurate with our timelines.

I like being able to track my time, document notes, and assign tasks to others. The project dashboard is the most useful feature for me, to be able to understand all tasks under a project, who is working on what and how many hours are remaining.

The time tracking feature doesn’t match my workflow which can involve working on multiple projects at once. I find it’s not very visually rewarding when you finish items or mark off tasks, compared to an app like Monday. I don’t get a lot of metrics about my personal progress on tasks or my team’s progress in the aggregate. There are a lot of features that I wish I understood better.

Time tracking and timesheets so I know where I am at the end of each day. It’s nice to have the project dashboard and when implemented properly the dashboard saves me a lot of time by having all files, notes, and client details in one place.

I love how it creates a schedule based on time estimates for tasks, PTO, holiday time, and meetings. For this alone, I could not live without it. The reporting and analytics tools are so great and very helpful. If I ever have a question, their support team is always quick to respond and giving me great answers and suggestions. There are so many ways to customize this tool to use it exactly how you need to use it. Logging time is easy and convenient. Finding and filtering projects is a breeze.

Some users new to our team find it difficult to navigate or understand. Because there are so many ways to customize, I do see how this could be difficult sometimes. I wish it had a template feature and that all links added in the notes or comments would open in a new window. Would also love the ability to thread comments.

We use it 1. for scheduling/project managing and 2. as a communications hub. It's great to have all of the information about a project in one place. It has erased the need to create schedules using spreadsheets.

Provides a centralized location for displaying assigned tasks.

Once a task is Done, it kind of falls off the radar. There should be a way to view Done tasks sorted by the date that they were marked Done, in case I need to go and mark them as Undone due to additional changes that come in. The AJAX callbacks to refresh the interface could be snappier (currently about a 1 second delay)

As a consulting organization, we have a pool of developers working on tasks for many clients. LiquidPlanner helps to track which developers are working on which tasks, as well as to estimate future developer availability and whether we need to hire more people.

It could use some more rigorous exporting capabilities - allow export of project data along with timesheet data

Liquid Planner works for a lot of businesses, Independence of what you do. It affords a lot of leeway in programming your way of doing things into the platform. That way you can adapt it, be your company an ad agency or construction crew. The time tracking is one of the most important parts for me, it tracks separately by member and you can also generate a ton of reports by client or type of projects. It gives a lot of choices to personalize.

It can be hard to use. Since it is possible to personalize a lot, there is much to select and boxes to tick. It is also buggy, sometimes you'll click a done project and be taken to another one. The mobile version is awful, and to me that's the worst part of it. You are required to use a Desktop computer most of the time, or you can't do a lot of stuff, like scrolling through projects.

It is very good for organization, keeping track of what people are doing at all times, and time tracking.

The way it notifies you that something is in danger of not being completed on time with icons.

In Timesheet view if an item is listed you can't remove it or hide it.

Tracking employee time on project tasks. The benefit is open communication among coworkers

The ability to forecast resource use, dashboards and analytical capacity. Easy switch from Gantt chart view to card view Kanban style. Very flexible, so it is easy to set up different types of projects.

The mobile app, which is of very limited use and needs updating. Lack of easy integration with other tools, mostly needs to be done via API. There is a comments function but we don't use it since we use MS Teams for internal communication. It has a somewhat steep learning curve, particularly if you want to make the most of all the functionalities.

Easier overview of all projects and comprehensive time tracking. It is an integral part of our project management activities

It's good to include team members, load files and have a way to break down projects into task for multiple teams.

It's tough having to upload attachments multiple times and not have them connected to a google drive to automatically update if there are changes.

Other than having all of my projects in one place, I don't have much to say here.
