The platform has a great mix of flexibility tied with being straightforward enough to set up, that it still lives comfortably in the no-code space. The ability to create custom page designs and tie Memberstack attributes is a great addition that makes it easy to blend seamlessly into a site.
I feel like the pricing can be a bit high, I used it for a free membership site so didn't have an issue with the monthly plan but the cost 4% transaction fee plus Stripes additional percentage and fixed fee can definitely eat into margins quite quickly.
I was able to rapidly prototype and build a minimum-viable product that turned into a full platform without having to spend a large amount of resources and money to outsource to an external development team.
What I like the best about Memberstack is the ability to hide certain sections to certain user levels, and the ability to create a portal for my members to enjoy personalized content catered to them.
I wish there were more depth and versatility in Memberstack to have the ability to create a more detailed and feature-rich portal for my clients. It gets the job done, but I wish there was more.
The problem I am solving with Memberstack is the ability for doctors to sign up for an account, get verified on our part, and, once approved, they can order prescriptions online.
Memberstack is a well-crafted tool that easily allows you to get your membership gating done. The explanations are clear for the setup, but in any case, the team are super responsive to helping out. So you won't be building and not being supported.
Some of the scenarios with regards to gating your content and the logic can be a little finicky to get going, but this is usually because of edge cases. I would like to see more on the data customisation aspects.

Easy to install, easy to configure. The live help getting setup is excellent. You can block off certain content and require a fee for membership to make money
More robust features for members (photos, etc, etc) full profile
We didn't have to create a database, scripts php or anything to get a userbase. We hide special content from non-members.
Linking with duda is quite simple and is explained step by step
Import login data via API - or I haven't found the function yet
User area on the website, for vip customers
The platform is relatively easy to set up and maintenance of existing memberships is pretty easy. We use the membership sign-up forms and the CMS tools. Don't know how it compares to competitors as we haven't used a competitor.
Lacks features that scale with growth. I would like to see improvements such as the ability to change prices, incorporate enterprise tiers, customizable profiles, more integrations with community platforms like Slack. Also, more dynamic analytics dashboards to help with membership maintenance.
We are using it to create memberships that have different access on our website. We have not had many issues with sign-ups which has been helpful. Our business has grown because of memberstack but it is now stifling growth as we scale.
