Through Woocommerce I am able to list my products on my website page with their cost and customize them to my own preference.
I dislike the cost that Woocommrce comes with, its a bit expensive.
The issues of displaying products on the website and letting customers shop from my page easily has been solved by Woocommerce. It is beneficial since I am able to keep track of my products to know what is out of stock and what has been purchased.
You have full control of your store and can make changes as required. No limit to product listing or sales. No commission or listing fee. Easy to setup and integrate payment system of your choice.
Shop design and functionality is dependent of the choice of theme used. Additional features can be added by extensions which may come at a heavy price. No direct support, premium users have to use ticketing systems for support.
Setup eCommerce websites with ease. List and sell products without commission or Listing fees. Manage orders, shipping, invoice, payment and even tax. Use collaborative store management system with assigned roles
I like the vast amount of integrations that WooCommerce offers, as well as how simple it was to set up.
I disliked some of the KB articles that I needed to use for reference when gathering API keys. It was lacking on some details, but with some persistence I was able to figure it out.
It is the e-commerce platform we use on our Wordpress based website for our business. It has allowed us to start processing orders directly from our website. And because of the easy integration we were able to integrate another platform to help us process all the orders with extra ease.
For who use wordpress to share his business website his products he has to install woocommerce plugin, a free app to make your site able to receive payements with security on paypal or any other way you like. It's a free app with seo features and easy to use.
Have a knowledge on wordpress and with plugins to be have good experience with woocommerce. Have all necessary payment accounts to show it in your website.
Go to shopify need a lot of fees to pay not like woocommerce it is free and easy for any ecommerce wordpress website .
No commission, no subscription and no setup fee. Free, Stable and can built for commercial use. Inventory management system is cool and auto disables product when inventory is exhausted. Manages tax and shipping fees, with ability to configure shipping zones. Works with several payment processors and easy to integrate them

Sell products and services. Generate invoice and process payment and shipping. Manage inventory and order processing.
It's free and open source with tons of tutorials and 3rd party support. An easy way to convert existing wordpress sites to a market place. Easy customization and feature upgrade.
The upsells on support and extensions are ridiculously expensive for startups and small businesses. Has compatibility issues due to, too frequent updates.
Sell Products and process payment for services. Easy inventory management system. Payment processing system for multi currency and international payment.
an excellent virtual store platform for your business, with use for any segments, whether small or large stores that I indicate the use based on the possibilities of speed, security, optimization and perfomance
by the time of evaluation that already worked in some of our stores we only had problem with integration in the services of invoices for our clients
what we worked and solutions that we had to use of woocommerce, was assembly of a virtual store in the followings of children's clothes, we had great performance and functionalities to customize our products, inventory demands and more
I love that it's free but has TONS of functionality. A lot of people are now on Shopify when it comes to selling online, and they do a lot but they do it all for you and charge tons. But with WooCommerce, you have to put everything together yourself and pick and choose what functionality you want, but it's free. And there are some paid plugins that add tons more functionality, but only if you want it and it's often a one-time payment. It's not incredibly difficult to learn how it works and how to use it with ease, but it's not for everyone. In any case, if you aren't in a position to afford Shopify's fees, or if you are but have some experience with designing websites, this is a great alternative.
Not every function is available in one place. If you want a piece of basic online shop design, you have to know exactly what you're looking for to find a compatible plugin. It's not all in one package. And it doesn't look as clean or have as much customizability (design-wise) as services like Shopify.
Keeping costs low while still having almost all the basic functionality as an online shop.
You can teach yourself very easily the basics of setting up products, attributes, etc. and it is easy to create items and manage as well.
When it comes to navigating what pages or sections of the website your are moving and editing it gets very confusing. There is alot of trial and error and unless you are experienced with using these types of platforms it is easy to mess up your work. Also the checkout process was horrendous at first and had multiple issues. The problem was solved eventually but it shouldnt be that hard to set up checkout.
Woocommerce helps give the business a more professional and polished look. It definitely showcases our products in a better light.

It gives you a basic shopping cart right out of the box Free for basic WooCommerce, so it is a cheap solution for those just dipping a toe into E-commerce. Allows you to expand functionality through plug-ins and expansions. Integrates really well with WordPress sites.
Basic functions are great, but the feature sets are limited requiring serious e-commerce users to purchase several add-ons.
Selling merchandise online and allowing customers to create online quote requests.
What I like best about WooCommerce is that it has a host of features that customer expect and they're free (out of the box) . Features like Variable pricing, Advanced tabs to display more item-specific context about a product or service. The interface is easy to use and doesn't require a lot of guess work.
Costly plugin enhancements and slow support response. As a web-developer and a css designer in Saint Louis, my customers have always been a "Show Me" experience and expect quick-response times when working on a project. With WooCommerce - You can't deliver on expectation that showing them it works (bug free) and that resolving conflicting bugs (theme or non-woo plugin related) in the code will be fast. Its just not possible when WooComm support team takes 24-48 hours just to tell you they want more info that they didn't mention the first round of discussions. It causes heartburn.
Selling retail products, selling eCourse Video programs, offering full program estimates with pay-by-invoice.
Product options can easily be applied and there is also ways to keep your product list up to date with a spreadsheet from your vendor. We can completely customize the whole experience to suit your business needs. The WC integration options and capabilities allow you to build a rich online sales solution.
Not much to dislike, but it's worth it for the most part and can improve in some areas. Be aware of the theme that you use and how it is updated when the over WC software is updated. Many themes do not work well after some updates.
Be sure to do some research to make sure that it will handle all the customizing you want. WooCommerce can be pretty easy to use for those who don't know too much about CMS and online shopping platforms.
Very easy to put together a well functioning online store with a reasonable amount of SKUs. Most themes support direct integration, and you can create product variants (configurable products). Great for small time shops that want full control of their store.
Do not recommend for high quantity product catalogs. Add-ons are expensive. There are usually better options available.
I am no longer using WooCommerce as we outgrew the store and migrated to a more capable shopping cart framework.
It is super versatile and can be used for nearly any situation. It has options for specialized shipping, variable options, coupons, you name it, woocommerce can do it!
It is difficult to use. An average consumer, or hobbyist would not be able to implement woocommerace without assistance. Be prepared to troubleshoot.
It was the goal to integrate our ecommerace with our existing Wordpress site. It allowed us to have all of our online presence in one location.
The best is that is a Plugin for WordPress, and WordPress is most popular CMS in the world.
It does not stop being a plugin, for a large Ecommerce project it would be possible to use a CMS dedicated to ecommerce specifically. There are many functions that are not included and you have to add more plugin to use them.
Ecommerce para pequeñas empresas, o para muestra de catálogos. Con un costo muy bajo de manenimiento.
Simple installation, you get all pages (carte, product, thanks you page) ready and with your design
Limited in terms of payment options. Many updates that make us updates all the time
Installing an e commerce with wordpress is simple with Woo commerce. I could charge clients directly from a blog and have a secured way to sell services. The coupon system is amazing
Free to use, a lot of plugins, great large community, no monthly fees unless you buy a host
Need to be tech savvy, not ready after installation, need self-hosting
It was saving money in my pockets and there were tons of plugins to work with and there isn't one set website, as there was endless possibilities.
There's basically no scenario, from running 5 e-commerce stores with varying levels of complexity in the products, that I haven't been able to successfully execute with Woocommerce (plus a handful of Woocommerce extensions of course). It's possible to set-up a fully functional store at no cost, though most will probably want at least a few plug-ins/extensions to make things sing and dance.
It takes a lot of work to get Woocommerce's own themes to look any bit all like they do in the previews they provide. Newer plug-ins generally aren't tested extremely well.
Our first use of Woocommerce was building an ecommerce site for our monogram jewelry line. Lots of options from the initials for the jewely, 60+ color and pattern options, chain length options, etc. Woocommerce was able to handle all the tiered levels of variations right out of the box. All other options we found would have required custom coding or advanced upgrades to achieve those options at that time.
